Steve’s Real Food raw dog food has been on the market since 1998 and was the first commercial raw diet to meet AAFCO standards.  Our formulas took over four years to develop.  They are based on a European formula, with improvements made using scientific research and veterinary testing. Steve’s Real Food insists that all nutritional claims for the food be backed by laboratory tests.

Complete Diet

Some raw food brands offer a ground meat that you can add to other ingredients to allow you to do a semi-homemade food.  This leaves it up to you to ensure that your dog is getting all the nutrients it needs.  Not only is this time consuming, but it can get very expensive once you start adding all the  additives and supplements.  Steve’s Real Food is 100% complete and balanced.  You do not need to add anything to it nor do you have to “give a dog a bone”.  That’s not to say that we suggest depriving your pup the pleasure of a good chew on a bone, but it is not necessary to ensure that they are getting everything they need.

Convent and Safe

Our food comes in small ¾ inch cubes/nuggets which make it easy to thaw and feed.  There is no cutting, mashing, or any other work required to feed Steve’s Real Food For Pets.  Just pour into a bowl, cover, thaw (not required), and feed.  The smaller nugget limits the possibility of contamination because of even and quick thawing.   There is no bloody messes, no dirty cutting boards, no dirty counters.  Your family is safe with Steve’s Real Food For Pets.

More Nutritious

Some other raw dog food lines are 90%+ meat and can be mostly fatty meats.  Manufactures will add fat to control the meat cost.  From years of research, Steve’s knows how important it is for pets to get vitamins and minerals the meat alone can’t offer.  Therefore we use a 80/20 ratio of meat to fruits, veggies and minerals.  We add ingredients such as sardine and flaxseed oil for the important Omega-3, 6 & 9 fattyacids.  We also add vitamin E and Kelp for extra vitamins and minerals.  Finally, we use Instant Quick Freezing (IQF) to seal in freshness and nutrition.

Steve’s Real Food does not import exotic meats from New Zealand nor do we spend massive amounts on advertising in magazines.  This allows us to offer you a moderately priced high quality product.  A raw food diet is one of the priciest feeding options for your pet, but it is hands down the best you can give.  We want to make sure you don’t have to break the bank to give your pets the nutrition they deserve.

Easier To Start On

Pet owners tell us that after trying other brands they found that their dog transitioned to Steve’s without problems.  The higher meat content that other brands have can make switching from a grain based diet very hard on your pets stomach and can cause vomiting or diarrhea.  In addition many dogs like the flavor of Steve’s better because it contains delicious fruits and veggies that they crave.
