Maple the Cattle Dog Mix

Raw Success Story

Maple is an 11 month old cattle dog mix. When we first brought her home, she decided she wanted nothing to do with dry, store-bought kibble. Our vet had deemed her underweight and we started her on a journey of feeding alternative puppy food. We started with something I nickednamed “bologna for dogs” because it came from a coolrer at the pet store and had to be cut up each feeding and was very hard to find where we lived. Maple would tolerate it, but was still having 4-5 loose poops a day on it and was underweight. She was also having a noticeably dry nose and horrible thick eye boogers. Our friends recommended Steve’s and we decided to try it out. We brought home a bag and started to transition her. I’ve never seen a dog so excited to eat!

Fast forward 2 months later of only feeding Steve’s Raw (chicken and beef seems to be her favorite) and our cattle dog puppy is ideal weight, has the shiniest coat that is so soft to touch, and poops 1-2 times a day, solid and well-formed. Her eye goobers/boogers she used to have disappeared and her nose is wet to the touch. She goes wild for meal times and tries to open the fridge. I am grateful we found such an amazing food for our dog and she’s happy and healthy!
