Pitbull Mix with Skin Issues and Allergies

Raw Success Story
Share the Post:

I adopted Karl the shelter in 2015 not knowing a lot about canine nutrition. He is a Pitbull mix and started suffering a lot from skin issues and allergies while eating a dry kibble diet. We struggled for years with these issues, constantly taking him to the vet for antibiotics and Apoquel. The vet suggested a hydrolyzed protein kibble. In 2019, I started doing a lot of my own research on canine nutrition and stumbled upon fresh feeding/raw feeding. I started Karl on a raw diet and his skin issues cleared up in just a few weeks time. His coat is so soft and shiny and his teeth are in great shape, despite him being 11 now! He still plays like a puppy. Karl loves Steve’s Real Food because of the diverse protein options. He is allergic to chicken, but has tried all the other proteins and loves them very much. The raw diet changed his life for the better.
