Chicken is a great source of high-quality protein, and our freeze-dried raw cat food is a rich source of amino acids such as taurine, which is critical for maintaining healthy eyesight, heart function, and a strong immune system in cats. Quest Cat Food is a Prey model recipe consisting of 95% chicken meat, bone, and organ, and 5% superfoods such as New Zealand Green Lipped Mussel and raw goat milk. Steve’s Real Food chicken recipe is formulated to exceed the nutritional levels established by AAFCO Cat Food Nutrient Profiles for All Life Stages. Steve’s Quest Chicken Cat Food is also available in frozen.

Start with a clean, airtight container and portion your pet’s daily feeding amount into it. If feeding multiple times a day, divide the daily feeding amount by number of feedings per day.
Place the airtight container of raw food in the fridge overnight to thaw. *If you forget to thaw the food, you can add some warm water to the food or place the food in a bag submerged in warm water for a quick thaw.
Remove the thawed food from the fridge and serve it to your pet on a clean dish. Thoroughly wash your hands and sanitize all areas that come into contact with the raw food to promote a safe feeding environment.
Treat raw pet food with the same care as handling raw meat for your consumption. Always wash your hands, pet bowls, and any surfaces that come into contact with the raw food.
Freeze-dried raw cat food offers the best of both worlds, combining the nutritional benefits of frozen raw diets with the convenience of kibble. It retains the vital nutrients and flavors of raw meat while eliminating the need for refrigeration, making it a convenient and nutritious option that appeals to cats’ natural instincts and promotes overall well-being.
Each 10 oz bag of Freeze-Dried Quest raw cat food contains about 5 cups of nuggets. It will rehydrate to make about 2 lbs of food.
Hot water is easy and works well, but other great options to enhance the meal are low-sodium bone broth, raw goat milk, or kefir. Note: If you are rehydrating with a cold or thick liquid, such as kefir, the rehydration will take much longer.
The food has an unopened shelf life which is typically 18 months. After opening, keep the package sealed and stored in a cool dark area (like a cupboard).

My 4 cats LOVE Steve’s Quest cat food so much! I rotate through Beef, Pork, and Chicken. The freeze dried variety is perfect for when I’m in a pinch and didn’t get a chance to thaw raw for them, as a treat, or dry as a topper to help transition a cat from dry kibble to a raw diet. These little bite sized pieces easily rehydrate and turn into a great wet food texture and the consistency can be customized with more water.

All it takes is look at the ingredients in your average commercial diet for kittens and cats and you will start wincing if you even look at some of the ingredients on the list. This I know for sure if you continue to feed an average cheap cat food on the market today especially dry kibble, your cat won’t live long or may life but suffer. I see so many cats diabetic and lethargic from poor diet as well as affects their immune system. My cat is family to me and want what’s best for her especially after her rough start coming from a shelter where I adopted her and going through several respiratory viral issues. I have been feeding this a short time now and I was concerned at first of the transition from her wet food ( I never feed dry if I can avoid its full of carbs and molds) to Steve’s prey freeze dried and low and behold I put a little of the Steve’s freeze dried chicken nuggets down with her fancy feast wet kitten food and to my surprise she left the fancy feast wet food!
